No Class Monday

11.30.2009

The day today is the day (how redundant!) that made my weekend 3-day, instead of 2-day. Whoopee! Thank God it's a holiday. :)

Anyway, I haven't got much on my plate today. No homeworks at least -however, I do have a Calculus test tomorrow which I should study for ...later. HAHA.

Aaand, I have ticket designs for our legacy to make. I'm at a loss for ideas! :| I need inspiration.
Aaand, a yearbook page to layout and design.

Oh why I am I cramming all these to my long weekend's last day? HAHA.

I can do this! :p

Here's some looks I made in my Looklet account:

Wild World - Skins (cover)

Ola!

I was productive this morning once again. Whoopee! :)
I woke up a few minutes before 9am despite sleeping in the wee hours of the morning, particularly, before the clock struck 2am -the internet just holds for me prerequisites for insomnia. HA.

I read and finished Book 3 (Marius) of Les Miserables. I want to read on but...I want to save some for later readings. Haha. :)

I'm still updating playlists on my Mixpod account. Transferring the one's I've made in Playlist.

ULTIMATE SLOW DANCE SONG (NIGHT TIME, WITH BEAUTIFUL LIGHTING:

"And the piano’s this melancholy soundtrack to her smile"

Sometime Around Midnight - The Airborne Toxic Event

This song has one of the most heartbreaking lyrics I've ever heard.
Yet it is beautiful.

And it starts, sometime around midnight
Or at least that’s when you lose yourself
for a minute or two
As you stand, under the bar lights
And the band plays some song
about forgetting yourself for a while
And the piano’s this melancholy soundtrack to her smile
And that white dress she’s wearing
you haven’t seen her for a while

But you know, that she’s watching
She’s laughing, she’s turning
She’s holding her tonic like a cross
The room’s suddenly spinning
She walks up and asks how you are
So you can smell her perfume
You can see her lying naked in your arms

And so there’s a change, in your emotions
And all these memories come rushing
like feral waves to your mind
Of the curl of your bodies
like two perfect circles entwined
And you feel hopeless and homeless
and lost in the haze of the wine

Then she leaves, with someone you don’t know.
But she makes sure you saw her.
She looks right at you and bolts.
As she walks out the door,
your blood boiling
your stomach in ropes.
Oh and when your friends say,
“What is it? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Then you walk, under the streetlights.
And you’re too drunk to notice,
that everyone is staring at you.
You just don’t care what you look like,
the world is falling around you.

You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You know that she’ll break you in two

I've actually posted its music video in one of my posts in one of the recent months. Heh. :)

Unfortunately, embedding is not allowed for this song: SUPERHUMAN TOUCH by ATHLETE.

Today was a pretty productive day for me.
I have a long weekend this week, with no classes on Monday because it's Bonifiacio Day in our country (if I'm not mistaken).

I slept before the clock struck midnight last night and I woke up a few minutes past 10 in the morning. I battled with myself a little, debating whether to get off my all-too-tempting bed or to just sleep in. I forced myself to do the former. Too much of something is not good for you after all.
So, I ate whatever was left of breakfast, and proceeded to do school work. I made it a point to catch up on my reading regarding the lessons we are currently having this third quarter. I still do have the goal of achieving an award when I graduate -though that dream seems very far off now especially with the effort I'm putting on my studies. However, though I might not graduate with the awards I wish for, it's fine by me as long as I'll have no regrets that I didn't study sufficiently. I'd be pacified by knowing that I did my best to accomplish this goal. :) Time to make up the losses I've incurred in that past two quarters with the other two quarters I still have ahead of me (oh, am I not inspired right now? HAHA).
I actually devoted yesterday (Friday) to be my catch-up-on-my-lessons day but, unfortunately, I was overpowered by the all-too-tempting internet. Oh well. At least I was productive today. Heh. :)

I read the chapters about peace and the poor for my CLE class, and for Economics, the various sectors of the economy, and their relationship. Basically that 2 chapters and 2 modules in half a day so I'm pretty proud. Heh.

I was supposed to start reading Book 3 (Marius) of Les Miserables as well for my English class but, I decided to rest my mind a little by listening to some music. So I did. Later on I made up my mind to..."play" dress-up, come out with an outfit for the upcoming legacy of the Grade 7. I mixed and matched and came-up with perhaps...3 to 5 outfits but decided that I'll wear them to some other school event instead. I have a prospect for the legacy though. :)

I'm currently updating my playlists in my Mixpod account. Playlist.com just doesn't work in our country anymore -due to licensing issues of the practically all the songs. How lame and unfortunate.

I will post my playlist here when it's complete. Heh. :)

-Alex Evans (So Impolite)

For more than a minute or two, I will forget that it is already 1:26 in the morning and I still have to get ready for my classes in more or less 3 and half hours.

I JUST HAVE TO BLOG ABOUT THIS.

Alex Evans, wow.
Period.
HAHA.
Well, it's not just how he looks like -he's handsome alright- but he's got such a knack for fashion and photography that I can't help but look up to him.

He takes such good photos (you can look-up his lookbook profile and I've got a link of his site in my exits located at the sidebar) and dresses so well! And just this early dawn I found out he's actually got a clothing line (if I'm so late about the news, pardon moi).

Here's some photos of the fashion line.
I just have to share the beauty of it all.
(PHOTOS AREN'T MINE. THEY BELONG THE SO IMPOLITE).

His sister's gorgeous by the way -especially in the second to the last photo.
They've both got such amazingly beautiful eyes.

I repeat, photos aren't mine. :)

So goes the last sentence in what God wants me to know in Facebook. Ha! I like it. ;)

I'm off to go to mass in a while. I have some stories to tell particularly about Friday night and the whole day of Saturday.
I also have a picture of my Drop Dead Gorgeous outfit during our Retreat to publish here...

If school days were like what these past 2 ones have been, I would have been more enthusiastic about having to go to school on a daily basis.

For the past two days, our usually 50-minute subjects were cut down into 30-minute ones. -That means we go home at lunch time. That reason alone is enough to support what I've just said. It would be less stressful if school ended that way. We'd have more time to do our homeworks where it's supposed to be done (at home) and, we'd have rest time for goodness' sake! Students need rest too. And, I understand that so do the teachers so...why don't we make everyone happy and cut school time to half a day? That would be beneficial for all of us. Heh.

I am ranting. But, I just said those because right now, I appreciate intensely having a half-day school day. It's such a relief to know that I go home from school at lunch time, and I arrive home with no minimal homeworks to do. Oh joy!

So again, I leave my blog post entries hanging as I browse some other sites from which I can't take my eyes off.

Gorgeous pieces in black, white, gray, and a few bright shades in between.
I love the cuts and the simplicity.

So pretty much I channeled my energy and time to unproductive things -if school related work is your definition of productive that is.

I shall brows the rest of The Cobra Snake's archive for the meantime.
While I wait for my sister to get home.
Before she steals the internet from me.

HAHAHA.
Adios!
