Iya Parungao's Camera Pictures

OH YEESSS! I am a happy happy kid. I am a happy happy tired kid.
At least I'm happy. HAHAHA.

I am writing my yearbook write-up -a work of literature I have been awaiting to make- and I am inspired enough that it permeates through every pore in my body. HAHAHA. (That's just me exaggerating).

It's limiting the creative fluid that's freely flowing within me though -only 75-100 words at most, are you kidding me?

But I shall take this as a challenge!
I am quite positive I will make it. Ha!

Anyway, wanna know how my 3-day weekend was spent?

Saturday
I pretty much bummed around inside our house. HAHAHA. I did not feel like I was productive enough though I did accomplish making the Letter for Approval for the yearbook's theme and content, Letter for Soliciation (of letters) template, and about one-third of the Legacy Logistics Committee Visual Plan. HAHAHA. Enjoy much? Yes.

Sunday
My family and I went to visit our grandmother's home since it was her birthday the day before. We ate and had a loadful of melon ice cream and banana fruit! Yum. We celebrated mass afterwards at Christ the King church. I proceeded to my busmate-slash-neighbor's 16th birthday celebration (it's her day on September 1st).
Gazillion of foods filled my stomach that day -and night. Hurrah!
We sang in the karaoke and it-was-so-much-fun. Go sing your heart out!

Monday
National Heroes' Day! It's a holiday but the soccer varsity of our school had a game so...I went along to show support (thinking that many shared the same thought as I. ...turns out I'm wrong :|). It's my last school year and I ought to watch at least one varsity game don't I? It will be quite regretful not to be able to do such a thing before I graduate, isn't it? I enjoyed myself throughout the day. It was quite full of adventure and pure fun! Especially the trip home. Hurrah! HAHAHA.

The Friday before the 3-day weekend, we had our "Linggo (or is it buwan?) ng Wika" Culminating Activity. No classes. What fun! HAHAHA. Just kidding.
Pictures next time!

My Weekly Overview Horoscope Says...

8.28.2009

"Relationships are simultaneously the most enduring and the most fragile thing in everyone's life. During the first half of the week, you get the chance to work on the most important relationship in your life: The one with yourself. All the rest are mirrors of your inner reality. During the last half of the week, focus on exploration and setting new boundaries for you and your companions. What once worked for you was useful for that time, but now it's the dawn of a new era. The weekend helps you see what limits you should put in place."

Ohoe. Old school music's so awesome! :) Playlist is still sucky here in our country. Licensing issues, darling. :| That's why I'm resorting to my old playlist in my Multiply account. HAHAHAHAHA. Old school indeed.

Today, 26th of August (is my kid-neighbor's birthday! -he's 6 or 7...I'm not sure which age), various school had their NCAE -that is, National Career Assessment Exam (if I am not mistaken :D).

Not to be boastful or anything, I found the test pretty easy. Especially in comparison with the UPCAT. -But then again, those tests differ from each other in such a way. LOL.

HMM. WHAT TO POST TODAY? Lol.
Ooh, Buwan ng Wika Culminating Activity will be this Friday. Excited. Whoopdeedoo!

This was taken...hmm, give me time to recall. LOL. Oh, last Wednesday.
I hung out at a friend's house to do a project that was due the next day (talk about cramming!) and we invited Iya over as well for us to do our Yearbook pagination and other concerns.

Suburban Knights - Hard-Fi

People! I haven't had the chance to blog for the past two days. Wait, I did but...I felt too lazy to do an update. Lol.

Last Friday was a holiday so my friends and I decided to hit Eastwood city (the usual stop for high school and college students, bar hoppers, party goers, you name it, they're there). It was in our agenda (oh geez I make it sound so formal) to watch The Time Traveler's Wife 5:30pm show. Unfortunately, though we arrived early, (before 5 I think), the opted for show time was almost full and the available seats were no longer that inviting due to its unlikely location in the movie theater. We reserved seats for the 8pm show.
To pass time, we roamed around the malls, checking out clothing stores and the like to look for a likely gift for a friend. :)
Perhaps due to the day being a holidyay, Eastwood was packed with throngs of people. Of all kinds. From school mates to call center workers, to foreigners, to families, you name them all.

Before watching the movie, my friends and I separated for dinner. Iya and Iana to El Pirata (if I'm not mistaken, that's what's the restaurant is called), and the rest of us to KFC (hoorah, fast food!).

We made it in time to watch the trailers before the movie (I can't remember a single one though...maybe because we had a washroom break in the middle of their show times).

On with the movie, it was a tear jerker! (At least for sappy folks like me.)
There were parts when I was trying to stop breathing due to fear of sniffing. The movie house was so quiet and I feared breaking the silence with my unnecessary sniffing and sobbing. HAHAHA. However, I was quite distracted during the extent of the movie for reasons I do not dare reveal even to myself (HA!). And, and, I was quite confused with the chronological order of the scenes. Of course, I understand that Eric Bana is indeed time travelling in the movie so it is expected that he jumps from the past to the future then back to the present and I'm telling you, I get that part. However, for example, the time frame of their marriage and the like, I'm not that sure what time it was occuring. How far along are they in their marriage, was that the earlier part, or the latter? When Rachel McAdams' hair was cut shorter, ...when was that exactly?

I haven't read the book yet, see?

I pretty much understood the movie's gist though so that's quite pacifying.
I shall read the book however, to better understand.
Then I shall rewatch the movie. Ha!

Nostalgia.
It won't sum up what I'm feeling, as there is no memory or the like that I would like to relive at the moment. However, there is this feeling of longing. Longing for what? ...Perhaps, for something more in this life. (Now, I am reminded of Stacie Orrico's song. HAR.)

Random song lines:

I'VE GOT IT ALL BUT I FEEL SO DEPRIVED

TELL ME WHAT IS THIS THING THAT I FEEL LIKE I'M MISSING AND WHY CAN'T I LET IT GO?

THERE'S GOT TO BE MORE TO LIFE, THAN CHASING DOWN EVERY TEMPORARY HIGH TO SATISFY ME

I HAD FOUGHT SO HARD AND THOUGH THAT ALL MY BATTLES HAD BEEN WON ONLY TO FIND THE WAR HAD JUST BEGUN

IS THERE ANY WAY TO BE MADE WHOLE AGAIN?

HE TOOK MY LIFE INTO HIS HANDS AND TURNED IT ALL AROUND IN MY MOST DESPERATE CIRCUMSTANCE, IS WHERE I'M FINALLY FOUND

SRSLY.
Why are we almost always never CONTENTED?
Human beings.

Stacie Orrico's STRONG ENOUGH is the best worship song ever.

The video is not in sync with the music. :o
HAHAHA.

The Pierces

"We'd be so less fragile
If we're made from metal
And our hearts from iron
And our minds from steel."

Oh such beautiful lyrics! Don't you agree? I mean, exceptional poetry. :p
I could not find a picture to appropriate enough to suit the song. The one above is the best I could come up with (at least it's the most my inventory of pictures could offer). I ripped it off a tumblr site. Sorry for not giving the proper credits. :o

Tomorrow, will be the last day of quarterly tests (we'll be having Economics and College Algebra -college algebra? WE'RE JUST IN FOURTH YEAR. HASN'T ANYONE GIVEN THAT ANY THOUGHT? Kidding.), and then it would be CIAO FIRST QUARTER!

How will I remember my first quarter when I look back at it?
It's a pool of muddled thoughts and ideas and the confusion of how to allocate my time to all the things I have to accomplish. (Perhaps I am exaggerating just a weeny bit, but I couldn't help it. It feels that way to me.)
When I compare it with last year, I had better time management last year. Time didn't seem so scarce during my junior year. But now that it's my final year in my school.

Time seem so finite nowadays.
A sad reality.

Perhaps these following quarters I'd be able to fair better? Hopefully.
My hopes are high.

Our first three tests for the First Quarter Quarterly Tests are no more! YAY! :)
Yesterday (Friday), we had our quarterly tests in the C.L.E., Philosophy and Health subjects. I'm so glad it's over. :p 3 more rounds to go next week! :o THOU SHALL NOT OVERSTRESS IT.

Anyway, I shopped a little last week and yesterday (got to destress after first round of QTs don't I?). I were with friends earlier in the afternoon until around 5pm. I shopped on my own afterwards. Ha!

Bah! I am...physically tired (and mentally too I think). I think I just squeezed out energy from every pore of my skin and scalp (that sounds so...).

We had a Baratilyo during Economics a while ago. :) I had my international magazines for rent and accumulated around P300. Whoopdeedoo! I didn't realize we'd sell much and arrive at a certain amount of money. Good job groupmates! :p

Anyway, geez. School's been pretty draining. :o I don't seem to have time for myself anymore. (HAHAHA. Selfish!) It's actually fine with me if I were to do school work all day. I just hope that I don't feel the fatigue, yeah?

Hmm...not much interesting things to post today.
Just wanted to drop by.

"Browsed" through scenes from Juno, the movie. I didn't know I could finish my movie review so easily. I was expecting to struggle with it since until this morning I had not decided which of my favorite movies to review (I don't even know which my favorites are!). I was thinking of having to rewatch movies I've watched previously. However, I did not want to look those movies up pa in the internet so I decided to go with what I already have (which is a VCD of Juno). So Juno, it is! HAHAHA. I never realized how much I love that movie until now. I mean, I did like it even during the first time I watched it but when you try to see it in depth and the like, you realize all the more what it's all about. I'm glad I chose this movie. I made a 3-page long review about it. HAHAHA. That's how passionate I am about critiquing the movie. Ha! However, I mostly praised the movie. I could not see its faults. Lol.
Is that okay? HAHAHA.

Over Petty Things Such As Wanting That Phone For Myself

8.07.2009

I shall not ask anything in return for my generosity. It does not follow my idol. LOL. Seriously. If I do ask for something in return...what's the purpose? It's like doing something just for the sake of a reward.
I am trying my best not to feel the resentment. I believe my time will come when...material blessings will be showered upon me (upon us).
The urge to shop has been building up inside me for weeks now and I am trying my best to repress it and to channel my energy to school-related works and the like but geez, it gets distracting (not to mention depressing) sometimes.
[It's shallow, I understand. No need to shove it to my face.]

One of my mom's balik-bayan (is that spelled without the hyphen?) friend has given her a phone, the Samsung Propel. My brother has not hidden his passion to have it for himself. I have but I did point out that I want it too. I don't want to argue about it so I'm not insisting that I "deserve" it. It's not like my brother doesn't but, I guess...the material want reigns over, doesn't it?

...then I have so many items of clothing in my wishlist! (Or at least fashion related trinkets.)
I am seriously craving for them. *drools*
HAHAHAHA.
Polyvore sets!

Sorry the layouting needs more improvement. HAHAHA.
I want those bracelets in the second set for myself! :o

I need to exercise. HAHAHAHAHA.

Styling

8.05.2009

I am currently reviving my Polyvore and Looklet accounts. HAHAHA.
I need to practice my styling skills (if I have any, that is) and come up with outfits/looks which I can't really put together in real life due to scarcity of resources. HAHAHA.
